Custom Hurdy
Gurdy with inlaid ebony and mother of pearl decoration on a cat and mouse
theme.
This instrument is a copy of
an historic Colson luteback. It is in G/C tuning with a third chanterelle added
in D. It is fitted with geared pegs and has a trompette capo to enable rapid
and accurate changing from G to C tuning.
There is a switchable device which causes a small silver mouse
to pop out of a hole in the keybox when the instrument is
played.
The carved cat head on the
peghead was created by the customer and copied onto the
instrument. |
