Custom Hurdy
Gurdy with inlaid ebony and mother of pearl decoration on a cat and mouse
theme. This instrument is a copy of an historic Colson luteback. It is in G/C tuning with a third chanterelle added in D. It is fitted with geared pegs and has a trompette capo to enable rapid and accurate changing from G to C tuning. There is a switchable device which causes a small silver mouse to pop out of a hole in the keybox when the instrument is played. The carved cat head on the peghead was created by the customer and copied onto the instrument. |

on a "leaves through the seasons" theme. This instrument is based on an historic Colson luteback. It is in G/C tuning with two unison chaterelles in G and a third chanterelle added in low G. It has 2 trompettes in C. It is fitted with geared pegs and has two trompette capos to enable rapid and accurate changing from G to C tuning. The carved head on the peghead was created by the customer and copied onto the instrument. |
